SILK STALKINGS - PAIXÕES PERIGOSAS

Paixões Perigosas ou Silk Stalkings foi uma série de televisão do gênero ação e drama, criado por Stephen J. Cannell, centrado no cotidiano de dois detetives interpretados por Rob Estes como Sargento Chris Lorenzo e Mitzi Kapture como a Oficial Sargento Rita Lee Lance, em suas aventuras resolvendo diversos tipos de crimes de fundo sexual ou paixões entre as pessoas extremamente ricas de Palm Beach.

Apesar do seriado ser focado em Palm Beach, na Flórida, a maioria dos episódios foi realizada em San Diego, Califórnia e outros em Scottsdale, no Arizona. Os dois personagens principais eram apoiados pelo Capitão Hutchinson, interpretado por Ben Vereen, que ficou impedido de continuar no espetáculo durante a segunda temporada devido a um acidente fora da tela.

Desta forma foi introduzido como o novo chefe, o Capitão Harry Lipschitz, protagonizado por Charlie Brill. Além do capitão, Lorenzo e Rita contavam periodicamente com o advogado assistente do distrito, George Donovan.

Os dois detetives, Chris e Rita desenvolviam um ar de romance entre eles, que nunca chegava “aos finalmente”, o que fazia muitos espectadores lembrarem da famosa série “Moonlighting” (A Gata e o Rato).

Chris também era também visto por ter poucas amigas e amantes durante o decorrer do espetáculo, enquanto que Rita era estabelecido, desde o episódio piloto, como portadora de um aneurisma cerebral causado por um bolha de sangue na cabeça, julgado de alto risco. Esta condição foi gradualmente e continuadamente mencionada durante até a segunda temporada, depois nunca mais citada.

O espetáculo foi apresentado inicialmente em 7 de novembro de 1991, originalmente nos Estados Unidos pela rede CBS e depois passou a ser mostrada dentro da programação de “Crimetime After Primetive” da USA Network. A série foi encerrada em 18 de abril de 1999, num total de 186 episódios, de aproximadamente 50 minutos cada, em oito temporadas. No Brasil esta série foi exibida, pela Rede Record e também televisão a cabo Sony.
